Dayton’s Historic St. Ann’s Chapel
At this time the HSDV is in the process of repainting the 1937 building that moved to Dayton from Yerington because the Dayton Catholics had to go to Virginia City to attend church. Residents donated a few dollars at a time to raise the money to have it moved and they remodeled and put in a yard and held services until the new Catholic Church opened a new St. Ann’s on US 50East of Dayton. Once remodeled, the building will become another museum featuring the early-day social life of Daytonites. Donations of volunteer work or money are gladly accepted.
