Time to Rebuild Dayton’s Historic 1881 Carson & Colorado Railroad Depot
The burning of the historic 1881 Carson & Colorado Railroad Depot June 17, 2020 was a sad day for Dayton, Nevada. The Historical Society of Dayton Valley is raising money to help rebuild the Depot and fulfilling the dream of making the corner lot the Gateway to the Comstock. Any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us and the history of Dayton and Nevada. To donate, please CLICK HERE.
We would LOVE to have you join us to work on railroad projects. Please attend one of our monthly meetings (temporarily on hold), or email either the Railroad Committee Chairman: John Crowley at railroad@hsdv.org or the Program Manager for Depot Restoration: Linda Clements at depotrestoration@hsdv.org, or call 775-246-9419 or 775-246-0505. Interested parties of all ages welcome. No experience necessary!
